Eddie Vedder - Longing to Belong

From his new solo album "Uke Songs." Most of the songs on the album were written during a tough period for him in the early 2000's. He once said he uses the ukulele to balance out the sadness of his lyrics.

Eddie Vedder w/ Rahat Fateh Ali Khan - Face Of Love

The original song can be found on the Dead Man Walking soundtrack with Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Nusrat's nephew, Rahat, is singing with Eddie. According to Wikipedia, "Rahat took over the family Qawwali party after Nusrat's death in 1997." The 2:50 mark is when the magic begins. . . By the way, they're from Pakistan. Oh the power of music. . .

Eddie Vedder - Hard Sun (live)

Watch it now because it won't last! This is as close as I can get in explaining the last part of Eddie's solo show. It was powerful. The show was a journey through different layers of his music. He ends the show with HARD SUN and right at that point you realize you just witness a testimony from one of the greatest musical writers/singers of our generation. Enjoy.
